Bessie Turner at Latitude Festival

Bessie Turner has been announced as part of the Latitude Festival line up. She will be performing on The Lake Stage on Friday. Massive love to BBC Introducing in Suffolk, Festival Republic and BBC Radio 1 for making this happen.

BBC Radio 1 and BBC Radio 6

Last week was very good to Bessie Turner - her debut single Big Sleep was played by Huw Stepehens on BBC Radio-1 and Tom Robinson on BBC Radio 6 Music within the space of a few days. Out first ever release on two of the worlds biggest radio stations…awesome.

Huge love to these two superstar DJ’s as well as our county heroes at BBC Suffolk - BBC Introducing, Richard Haugh, Graeme Mcloughlin and Stephen Foster.

Bessie Turner’s debut single is now 4 weeks old. It has been an incredible start…the level of enthusiasm we have had really is outstanding.

Big Sleep has been watched/streamed nearly 30,000 times in a month. The live shows have been packed to the rafters. Remarkably kind people are actually buying the song. We have had so many messages from complete strangers who have fallen in love with Bessie Turner’s music.

Thanks everyone. Lots more to come…

Thank You…One of Many

Just over two weeks ago we released Bessie Turner’s debut single Big Sleep. The response has blown us all away. 20,000+ views on the beautiful video Chris Driver Photography, a ton of shares and streams across other services and people are actually parting with their money to buy the song. Unexpected and brilliant.

17 days into this being an actual thing and BBC Introducing in Suffolk have already been incredible in their support - thank you for having us in for a live session, thank you for the encouragement and for letting us hear it all on the radio.

Big Sleep is the first thing that Bessie has ever put out and the first thing that Don’t Try had ever attempted to do. We thought some people might like it…the main thing was that it was fun to work on a fresh project with a team of great friends. Thank you all for making it so rewarding. Every kind word means a lot to me, Chris and Bessie.
